The paper anniversary

Hey, did you know that today is National Delurking day? (well, I think it is, after a quick Google search there are several days in question.) According to Urban Diction, “delurk” is defined as “entering an online discussion after a time spent lurking, especially if prompted to do so.” (yes, yes, that was the English nerd coming out of me. Although, my English professors might snub their nose at the Urban Dictionary) AND, did you also know that Saturday is the one year anniversary of when I started this blog? So, I thought this might be a splendid time for us to get to know each other – or rather for me to get to know you – because Internet, I love reading your comments. In fact, I nearly get giddy with excitement when I have one, and I love discovering new blogs. And well, that’s all this blogging stuff is all about, right? A bunch of people sharing their ideas, and becoming friends and honestly, peeking into stranger’s lives and gleaning their stories, anecdotes and tips.

So, I’m going to ask a question – a really, easy question – and in the spirit of my big anniversary, I’d be overjoyed if you’d answer that question. If you want to leave me a URL so I can check out your blogs and comment as well, that would be great. If not, no worries, I’m just happy to know that someone is there reading my random musings.

So, here’s the question: what did you have for dinner last night? Bonus points if it involved chocolate.

To make you feel more comfortable, I’ll go first: we had leftovers consisting of Sherried Tomato Soup (from Pioneer Woman, although I made changes, but don’t worry, I kept the sherry…I just may have added a bit more. No officer, I don’t have a problem), tacos, rice, applesauce, and whole wheat pasta with fresh herbs and some Australian White Cheddar. And water with orange slices. And maybe a large slice of Berry Pound Cake (The goal was to clean out the fridge, right?) It was a smorgasbord of flavors. Although, if I’d known that today I was gong to post about my previous nights dinner, I would have made something more fancy.

Although, I just realized that this is the second time In. A. Row. that I have mentioned we had leftovers for dinner. Honestly, I do cook sometimes.

But enough about me, what did you have for dinner last night?

(Also, while I’m asking, if anyone has any ideas on window treatments for a baby’s room that have teeny, tiny windows, I would love that information too. I’m out of decorating ideas and in a rut. Ok, so now there’s three questions.)

We went out to the Texas roadhouse for dinner! Had Chicken Critters, a loaded sweet potato and a house salad with italian dressing! MMMMMMM sooo yummy! And the honey-cinnamon buttered buns are to die for!
